Helping young children grow and develop
The importance of early intervention is based on the premise that the first few years of life in a child's development are crucial in setting the foundation for lifelong learning, behavior, independent living, and health outcomes. Alta Mira’s early intervention services help very young children grow and develop and provide support for their families in caring for them. The ultimate goal of Early Intervention is to help families help their children reach their full potential.  In 2006-2007, more than 20,000 hours of care were provided to infants, very young children and their families. As impressive as those numbers seem, Alta Mira recognizes the need to improve its ability to serve even more families and to serve them better. Toward that end, for early intervention, 2006-2007 was a year largely focused on capacity expansion. Full staffing was emphasized and realized. Staff stability has increased, and a rigorous approach to training has improved staff confidence and service delivery.

Every child and every family is different.  Alta Mira tailors its early intervention supports and services to best meet the needs of each child and their family.  If you are interested in learning more about Early Intervention, or in securing services for your child, please call us.  Getting started is easy.
