Family-centered services for DD Waiver eligible children and adults in Bernalillo and Torrance counties, supporting the insights, experiences and choices of the family and the individual.
Respite Home (Albuquerque)
Short-term care that recognizes an individual’s growing independence and life transitions. Services are provided by trained staff to adults (18 and older) in an accessible home.
Family Living Services
DD Waiver services supplied under an agreement with the natural or surrogate family to provide a home for an adult with a developmental disability.
Goods and Services
A new program for individuals on the DD Waiver, designed to provide financial support to families for community/work activities or the purchase of supportive devices.
Respite
Short-term temporary care for children and adults by a trained provider; takes place in the family home, the provider home or in the community. The individual and the family choose when and where to use respite services.

How much do services cost?
Alta Mira uses a sliding fee scale, which assesses charges according to family income. Individuals receiving services through certain state and federally funded programs, such as the Medicaid DD Waiver program, are not billed for services.
