GOODS AND SERVICES
Alta Mira coordinates the purchase of Goods and Services (support that may be provided to individuals who have been determined eligible to receive funding through the Developmental Disabilities Medicaid (or "DD") Waiver). 

Goods and services are services, supports or goods that support those opportunities to achieve individual desired outcomes related to living relationships, inclusion in community actitivies and work that are clearly defined and documented in the Individual Service Plan (ISP).

Items or services must meet specific criteria and generally are provided for things such as memberships and fees (fitness memberships, tuition/classes, summer day programs, social membership) or devices and supplies (batteries for hearing aids, assistive technology devices, nutritional supplements, therapeutic wedges, positioning supports, instructional supplies, instructional/vocational books and computers). 

The items or services must satisfy at least one of the following:

•Increase the individual's functioning related to the disability;
•Increase the individual's safety in the residence environment;
•Support community inclusion or employment opportunities;
•Decrease dependence on other Medicaid-funded services
; or,
•No other public funds are available to cover the item(s) or service(s).
