Alta Mira Specialized Family Services, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit that supports individuals with developmental risks,delays or disabilities and their families, to optimize quality of life. Alta Mira provides developmental early intervention services for children birth to age 3; inclusion training, support and consultation for child development centers; lifespan support services for people with developmental disabilities and their families; and respite services, including a respite home for short-term and family-crisis care. We welcome referrals from individuals, professionals, agencies and schools; questions about our programs; inquiries about volunteer opportunities; and requests for general information.
As the knowledge base for supporting families has changed over the past 20 years so has Alta Mira, but we have maintained the core values on which we were founded - client care and respect for families as experts. The people we serve and their families come first; they always have.
