Alta Mira Respite Home
Alta Mira’s Respite Home provides short-term respite care for adults (18 and over) in a neighborhood setting. The program recoginizes each individual's growing independence and life transitions. It can provide a break from the family, a fun time with peers, and numerous activities and opportunities to participate in the life of the community. It is a place to grow in social interaction, to transition from home to the larger community, and to feel safe in times of emergency or family crisis.
• Available for older adolescents and adults in a residential neighborhood setting;
• Supervised by trained staff, including 24-hour supervision on weekends;
• Participants must be in a day program Monday through Friday during the day.
